Carl Joseph Beridon

Carl Joseph Beridon went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, February 1, 2025 in Holland, MI.

He was husband to Loretta (Lori) Sue Owen Beridon. Carl was born on August 16, 1951 to the late Henry Joseph Beridon and Addie Beridon of Kalamazoo, MI. 

Carl earned his educational degrees from Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music, John Wesley College (BA), and Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary (MA in Christian Day School Administration). He worked for many ministries in fund raising, but was most at home in the classroom teaching and mentoring young people and the church teaching adults. Carl was a natural athlete and had the drive to run life’s race well. He loved his family and friends deeply and was deeply loved. He was the kind of man that made people feel good and had a great sense of humor. Playing golf with his son Ben, his father-in-law Frank, and many friends gave him such joy. Amidst many joint surgeries and health issues, he remained the eternal optimist who never complained. Carl and Lori had a special spot on Lake Michigan where they enjoyed picnicking and watching the sun set on the horizon. An avid reader, his favorite and most studied book was the Word of God and he is now in his eternal library with body and mind restored. 

In addition to his parents and in-laws, Frank and Muriel Owen, Carl was proceeded in death by his two sisters, Elaine Ridderbos and Janet Gironda. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Lori, as well as two children, Benjamin Owen Beridon (Jenny) of Robinson, Texas and Kathryn Joy Cullen (Ben) of Angola, Indiana, grandchildren Owen Carl Beridon, Michael Benjamin Beridon, Griffin Alan Cowen, Sabine Amelia Cowen, siblings Donna Beridon, Marilyn Rowe, Patty DeLoach, Brian (Lyn) Beridon, Randy (Denise) Beridon, and many nieces and nephews.
