Betty Harriet Gnodtke

Betty Harriet Gnodtke, age 93, was lifted to her eternal heavenly home on October 9, 2024 surrounded by her family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 5-7 PM at Pike Funeral Home, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. Burial will be in New Troy Cemetery. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Betty was born on March 1, 1931 in Dearborn, Michigan to Herbert and Beulah (Simons) Blair. She married Dale Baugher Jr. in 1954 and he preceded her in death in June 1988. What Betty loved most in life was being a wife, mother, and grandma. She worked at Heath Company as a clerk until retiring in 1995. Betty then married Harry Gnodtke in 2003 and he preceded her in death in 2020. In her free time, Betty enjoyed baking, polka dancing, gardening and crocheting, especially making baby blankets for her grandkids and great grandkids. Betty is survived by her children: Donna Mangels of St. Joseph, Greg (Marci) Baugher of Alma Center, Wisconsin, Michael Baugher of Coloma, and Karen (Tom) Burkhardt of Buchanan; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Betty was also preceded in death by a son, Keith Baugher.

Betty leaves behind a legacy of love for those fortunate enough to know her that will be cherished forever.
