Barbara June Sebasty, 80 of Buchanan passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at The Willows, St. Joseph

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Glendora, 1733 W. Glendora Road, Buchanan., with Reverend Jonathan Liebich officiating. Burial will be in Weesaw Township Cemetery, Buchanan. Friends may meet with the family from 5-7 pm Monday, December 4 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Evan. Lutheran Church of Glendora, Buchanan or the Berrien County Youth Fair.

Barbara was born June 11, 1937 in Galien the daughter of the late Rheinhold and Hattie (Skala) Backus. Barb had worked for Electro-Voice for many years and was a school bus driver for the River Valley School District for over 37 years. She volunteered her time at the Berrien County Youth Fair and enjoyed judging the cake decorating classes.

Survivors include three daughters; Linda (Paul) Schutze, Susan (Tom) Schmaltz and Laura (Pat) Sadowsky; eight grandchildren and one great grandson; sisters: Bonnie Weich, Charlotte Schmaltz and Carol (Maurice) McMichael; brothers: Arnold (Ann) Backus, Mike (Betty) Backus and Warren (Sandy) Backus.

Barb was preceded in death by sisters: Elaine Bell, Wilma Freehling, Alice Shirley; and a brother: Harold Backus.
