Arlene Bernice Lindquist, 83, of Harbert passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at her home.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 3 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, with Reverend Ron Magnuson officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Friday from 6-8 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice At Home.
Arlene was born August 28, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late Victor and Amanda (Carlson) Charn. On September 11, 1948, she married Bernard “Bud” Lindquist and they shared 63 years together. Arlene shared her gift of music with her family and as the organist at Harbert Community Church for over 43 years. She enjoyed traveling and was the best “pie baker” ever.
Survivors include her husband, Bud; three children - Craig (Paula) Lindquist of Oxford, MI, Kent (Lauri) Lindquist of Sawyer, and Wendy Lindquist of Chicago; four grandchildren - Joanna and Kate Lindquist, Joshua and Micah Lindquist; three greatgrandchildren - Alison, Sarah and Andrew; and one sister - Virginia Seeder; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Arlene was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Schaffer.
