Arlene Dunning

Arlene Lorraine Dunning, 85, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, formerly of Bridgman, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Wabash General Hospital, Mt. Carmel, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, August 29 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to the Bridgman American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Dunning was born November 25, 1922 in Bridgman the daughter of the late Ben and Martha (Hingst) Boelke. On June 14, 1947 she married Donald Dunning and he preceded her in death in 1972. Arlene is a Bridgman High School graduate and a lifelong member of the Bridgman American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two children – Greg (Lynne) Dunning of Redford, Michigan and Marsha (Brian) Brown of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; two grandchildren – Jason Dunning and Vanessa Stevens; two great grandsons – Trevor and Nathan Stevens; and two step-children – Tommy and Charlene of Cynthiana, Kentucky.
