Arellis Skorupa

Arellis “Ellie” Mary Skorupa, 90, of Sawyer passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 29, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5791 Sawyer Road, Sawyer, with a gathering of family and friends to follow from 10:30- 1 PM in the fellowship hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes,1275 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605.

Arellis was born February 9, 1928 in St. Joseph the daughter of the late George and Doris (Plumley) Dexel. On June 4, 1949 she married Clifford Charles Skorupa and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2011. Arellis was a gardener at heart and loved Iris and African violets. She had worked at Jordan’s Nursing Home in Bridgman for many years.

Survivors include her children - Mary (Pete) Videnovich, Dan (Carrie) Skorupa, Clifford T. Skorupa, Sandra Skorupa, Janice (Fred) Nielsen, James Skorupa, and Robert (Joyce) Skorupa; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren; sister: Janice Osborne.

Arellis was also preceded in death by a son - John Lynn Skorupa and a daughter -in-law - Teresa Skorupa.
