Anthony “Tony” Jordan Struzynski, 53, of St. Joseph passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 in Keeler Township, Michigan.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 11 AM, with a memorial service at noon, on Saturday December 16, 2023 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, MI 49106. Online condolences and a live stream of the service can be seen at www.PikeFH.com.
In honor of Tony’s love for hunting, we encourage (but do not require) family and friends to wear any article of camouflage or blaze orange clothing, if you have it. Immediately to follow the memorial service, the family invites you to join them at Watermark Brewing Company, 5781 St. Joseph Ave, Stevensville, MI 49127.
For those unable to attend the memorial service, a Celebration of Life service will be held in the Spring of 2024 in combination with Tony’s father, Jordan, in Northern Minnesota. More details to come.
Tony was born on March 3, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Jordan and Jeannine (Collins) Struzynski. Tony graduated from Greenway High School in Coleraine, MN in 1988. He married Kimberlee Probasco on April 7, 2000 in Baraboo, Wisconsin. They had two amazing children – Austin and Madison.
Tony had fun and lived life to the fullest and he wanted EVERYONE around him to live life with him. To sum up Tony, he liked to hunt, fish, play cards, sit around a fire in Minnesota, and ride ATV’s. You didn’t have to worry about looking for Tony as you could most definitely hear his voice from a mile away. Tony’s happiness was contagious. If you walked into a room with Tony, you were guaranteed to smile right away. You were also guaranteed to eat some good food as Tony loved to cook.
Tony also loved his job owning and operating Culver’s restaurants alongside his wife, Kim. His contagious personality was most definitely not hindered within the workplace. He ensured each employee felt valued and formed lasting relationships with the team, as well as with many guests. As he approached his retirement, you’d see Tony show up to check-in on the team clad in flip flops, cargo shorts, and a button-up fishing shirt. If you hung around Tony enough, eventually you’d end up playing cards with him. You’d see him seated with a bag of pistachios and of course an empty water bottle for his chew. You always knew it was Tony’s turn because he’d be anywhere but the table. And good luck to you if you were his partner in Pinochle as his card playing abilities were rather hit-or-miss.
Whether you were playing cards, tossing cornhole bags, or ducking from the scariest drive you’ll see in a round of golf, you knew life was good when you were with Tony. His quirks, his patience, his kindness, his ability to be there for people exactly when they needed it, and of course his inability to read directions first, will all be heavily missed. We love you, Tony.
Survivors include his wife: Kimberlee; children: Austin (Janelle) Struzynski and Madison Struzynski; grandchild: Evangeline Struzynski; mother: Jeannine Struzynski; sister: Nicole (Kenneth) Giving; brother-in-law: Leon (Cyndi) Probasco; brother-in-law: Michael Probasco; his niece and nephews; and his Culver’s family.
Tony was preceded in death by his father: Jordan and an infant brother: Matthew Struzynski.
