Alice Marchel

Alice Jean Marchel, 84, of Stevensville passed away peacefully at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Scapular Church. Alice will lie in state beginning at 9:30 AM at the church on Saturday. Burial at Michigan Memorial Cemetery, Flat Rock, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be given to the Marie Yeager Cancer Center, 3900 Hollywood Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Alice was born September 13, 1936 in Taylor, Michigan, the daughter of the late Stephen and Geraldine (Baron) Wright. On May 7, 1960 she married Vincent Marchel and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2020. Alice was a life‑long member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She enjoyed going to garage sales, thrift shopping, and indulging in her sweet tooth.

Survivors include her children: Stephen (Lori), Randall, Cynthia (Jeff) Onkka, and Debra Lambrix, as well as nine grandchildren, two great grandsons and a sister, Elsie Marchel.

Alice was also preceded in death by her siblings: Marland Wright, Katherine Shoemaker, Shirley Balowski and Lamarr Wright.
