Alfred Francis Tio III, 50, of Baroda passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Wednesday, July 6 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 3903 Lake Street, Bridgman, with Father Arthur Howard as Celebrant. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, from 5-8 PM, where a Rosary will be offered at 7 PM. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given towards the needs of the family or to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Al was born March 30, 1961 in St. Joseph the son of Alfred and Velma (Nutt) Tio II. On March 30, 1992 he married Joyce Zavoral. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. He was employed and a faithful member of Our Lady Queen Catholic Church in Bridgman. He was very active in local Baroda and Bridgman youth sports. He enjoyed coaching and was the All Star Coach for the U8 Bridgman team.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Joyce; four daughters - Allison (Jonah) Valenti of Watervliet, Jordan of Baroda, Kirsten and Maddison at home; three sons - Justin of Benton Harbor, Ian and Payton at home; two grandsons - Samuel and Brayden; his mother - Velma Tio of Baroda and a sister, Charlene Dillen of Baroda

Al was preceded in death by his father, Alfred F. Tio II in 1988
