Albert Henry Gorske, 77, of Bridgman passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Corewell Health South, St. Joseph.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 Church Street, Bridgman, MI 49106. Friends may meet with the family from 5-7 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.
Albert was born on September 24, 1946 in St. Joseph the son of the late Julius and Pearl (Hackeman) Gorske. Albert married Linda Molter and she preceded him in death 1992. Albert later married Dorothy (Mead). Al lived in Bridgman for most of his life and was a graduate of Bridgman High School. He retired from Technisand in Bridgman after 35-plus years of employment there. Al was friendly, with a great sense of humor, that he kept until the end. Al enjoyed Michigan road trips with his wife, weekly coffee meetings with his friends, gardening, tractors, and tinkering in his barn.
Survivors include his wife: Dorothy; children: Matthew (Michaela) Gorske and Nancy (Mark) Patterson; step children: Pamela, Laura, Angela and their spouses; grandchildren: Katelinn Patterson, Emily Patterson, Christopher Gorske; step grandchildren: Matthew Stearns and Melissa Coffeen; six step great grandchildren: siblings: Richard (Karen) Gorske, Michael (Amy) Gorske, Dennis (Nancy) Gorske, Kenneth Gorske, and Debra (Terry) Glaske; and sister-in-law: Denese Gorske.
Albert was also preceded in death by two brothers: Roger and Robert Gorske.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
