Adeline Geik

Adeline Linda Geik, 88, of Bridgman, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at West Woods of Bridgman.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5791 Sawyer Road, Sawyer with the Reverend Randy D. Lett officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 6 - 8 PM Friday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 247, Sawyer, MI 49125.

Adeline was born on March 21, 1927 in Galien, Michigan, daughter to the late Adolph and Julia (Kluge) Strefling. On November 9, 1946 she married Arthur R. Geik and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1965. Adeline owned and operated Adeline’s Beauty Cove in Sawyer. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sawyer. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting, writing poetry, and cooking for her family.

Adeline is survived by her children: Ronald (Cheryl) Geik of Culver, IN, Susan (John) Polishuk of Sawyer, Katherine Geik of Bridgman; grandchildren: Dustin Schueneman, Brian (Jessica) Schueneman, Emily (Aaron) Nannfeldt, Rachel (John) Clark, Adam (Cheyenne Osmundsen) Geik, Kori (Richard) Watkins, Kamron Mensinger; five great grandchildren; and her sister Edna Geik of Kalamazoo.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Mensinger in 2007; and eleven brothers and sisters.
