BRIDGMAN - Virginia Ruth Kamradt, 75, of Bridgman entered her eternal heavenly rest on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at Country Manor Care Center, Bridgman.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at First Church of the Nazerene, St. Joseph, with the Rev. J. Dean Pickett officiating.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman.  Friends may meet with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Boyd-Pike Funeral Home, Bridgman.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, designated for research.

Ruth was born Nov. 13, 1928, in Trammel, KY, the daughter of the late Curtis and Fern (Hensen) Newman.  She met Bob Kamradt while he was stationed at Fort Knox and they married on March 9, 1957.  Ruth was active in the Lakeshore Art Guild for many years.  In recent years, she was active in the St. Joseph area Bible Study Fellowship and attended First Church of the Nazarene in St.Joseph. Ruth is best described as a committed Christian, a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family; a generous and kind person.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert Kamradt of Bridgman, two sons: Daniel (Constance) Kamradt of Stevensville and Keith (Mary) Kamradt of Spring Lake, Michigan; two grandchildren: Linda and David Kamrdt of Spring Lake; and one brother, Kenneth (Sue) Newman of Franklin, KY.

Ruth was also preceded in death by a sister, Gwendolyn.
